Ciespi asked:

If someone has taken this exam, or know someone who has, could you please offer tips and advice for both the multiple choice portion and typing section of this exam? How difficult is it?

For those who are not familiar with NY civil service exams, if you could offer common vocabulary words and grammar skills(or a site that lists them) that I may be tested on for an entry-level admin assistant postion, your tips would be valuable as well. Thank you in advance.

BTW- I posted in this section in the hopes of reaching a larger number of NY state residents. I’ll post in Careers & Employment as well.

I have never taken the Keyboard Specialist 1 Civil Service State in NY. Have you tried obtaining an Keyboard Specialist 1 Exam Guide from your local library? If they do not have an exam guide, ask if they have Interlibrary Loan services and request the exam guide that way. Good Luck!!
